Reviews and Ratings
Skyland offers stunning views and easy access to hiking trails, making it a great base for outdoor enthusiasts. While the accommodations are rustic and the dining options can be inconsistent, the overall experience is enjoyable for a family getaway. Guests may find the mattresses a bit too firm and some facilities needing maintenance, but the charm of being in the national park is undeniable.
Our stay at Skyland left us feeling mixed—while the views of the Shenandoah Mountains were stunning and the rustic accommodations had charm, we faced several issues with the dining and overall service. The weekend included long waits for meals and an underwhelming selection, which detracted from what could have been a great experience. Ultimately, the location is ideal for nature lovers but may not be worth the price given the recent experiences.
Our stay at Skyland had its highs and lows. The views were simply breathtaking, and the hiking opportunities right outside were a big plus. However, the check-in process left a lot to be desired, and we encountered some issues with our room that detracted from the experience. Overall, the location is fantastic for outdoor enthusiasts, but some improvements are needed in service and facilities to match the high expectations.
My stay at Skyland was a mixed bag. While the breathtaking views of the Shenandoah Valley were a major highlight and the live performances at the bar were enjoyable, my experience was marred by the reservation process and the cleanliness of the bathroom upon arrival. Overall, the charm of the location made up for some of the inconveniences.
Staying at Skyland has its ups and downs. The stunning views of the Shenandoah Valley are breathtaking and the natural surroundings are truly uplifting. However, the rooms leave much to be desired, particularly regarding comfort and amenities. The dining experience was a mixed bag, and while the staff were pleasant, the overall price seems steep for what you receive.
